Neuroinclusive Assessment
Designed for adults who were missed in childhood and now suspect they may be autistic or have ADHD.
Focuses exclusively on neurodevelopmental diagnosis (Autism and/or ADHD) in adults, not on academic performance or IQ.
Includes a comprehensive clinical history collected through detailed intake forms and screening tools.
Reviews medical conditions that can mimic or exacerbate mental health issues, such as thyroid or iron levels.
Involves a full hour-long MIGDAS-2 assessment (the Monteiro Interview Guidelines for Diagnosing Autism Spectrum) focused on strengths-based, qualitative autism diagnosis.
ADHD assessment includes a full developmental history and review of school reports and/or childhood observers if available.
The entire process involves around 10 hours of professional work across psychometrists and nurse practitioners.
Diagnosis is compatible with medical records, allowing access to:
Workplace and school accommodations
ODSP and the Disability Tax Credit
Insurance coverage and health supports
Cost is approximately 1/3 to 1/4 the cost of a traditional psychological assessment.
No unnecessary testing—we don’t include IQ or learning disability testing. But will refer to a psychologist for those.
Meanwhile, a full Psychoeducational Assessment
Typically includes:
Wechsler Intelligence Scales (WAIS/WISC) for cognitive/IQ testing
Academic testing (e.g. WIAT) to assess for learning disabilities
Broad psychological profiling across multiple domains
More appropriate for children or youth in school, or for adults starting a post-secondary institution.
Often not necessary for adults who:
Have already completed their education
Are not seeking to assess for learning disabilities
Costs usually range from $3,000 to $5,000 or more or involve long waitlists, if using OHIP-covered or school board services.
Wait time for publicly funded assessments can be multiple years. In a good psychological clinic, probably a few months.

Diagnosis is outside of their scope of practice, though, and our specialized Nurse Practitioners provide the diagnosis letter and therapeutic recommendations that will give you access to additional medical care (Medication and other OHIP covered treatments).

Exclusions: The services we cannot provide.

While non-speaking, minimally-speaking, and unreliably-speaking individuals absolutely deserve and can benefit from compassionate mental health care, this particular service may not be the best fit for those needs at this time.
This service is designed to support adults who are 19 years of age or older and is only available to individuals residing in Ontario.
